Quality checklist for wood furniture


If you think you are buying the best product out there, make sure of the following points. If these features don't exist on the piece you want to buy, make sure the price reflects a more modest item!

  1. Large cabinets, china cabinets, entertainment centers, sideboards, etc., should have leveling devices in the base. Remember, there is seldom a level floor in any house anywhere in the world. Keeping your big items level is important because, if they are not level, their doors have a tendency to stick.

  8. Inspect hinges on doors to determine if they are solidly secure and can handle the load of the door.
